It’s Fluid! They’re a Singapore-based fintech that makes B2B payments easier for buyers and suppliers. And now, they just raised a $5.2M Series A!

  • According to their website, they serve clients like Emirates, TreeDots, and Eezee.
  • The startup, founded in early 2023, previously raised a $1.8M seed from Iterative and New Stack Ventures.

🧩 The payment puzzle

If you know how B2B purchase payments work, then you know that most involve deferred payments or credit terms. Yup, money isn’t always easily accessible (or fluid).

  • Because of this, many suppliers find it hard to accommodate buyer requests for credit—just think about the risk!

The result? This makes suppliers say no to potential customers, limiting their growth. Oh, and for buyers, this narrows their supplier options and lengthens their procurement and payment processes. Yikes.

🌊 Fluid keeps money flowing

Fluid wants to give both suppliers and buyers a win-win situation.

For suppliers. Fluid saves you the horrors of collecting your account receivables by paying you instantly.

  • Also, you save time! You don’t need to talk to debt providers or undergo credit checks.

For buyers. Fluid offers purchase financing to secure purchases on preferred credit terms or installments.

  • Oh, and you also get payment flexibility through seamless integration into any B2B marketplace or supplier websites, apps, or ordering systems.

💰 What’s next?

They’ll enhance their product offerings and recruit bigger suppliers across various industries.

  • Oh, and they’ll also expand their risk and engineering teams.
