Here’s Zentide. This startup turns tropical seaweed into biostimulants and biofertilizers, partnering with seaweed farmers to provide them with new earning opportunities.

  • Now, they just raised $525K!

Investor check. Climatetech venture builder Wavemaker Impact led the round.

  • Oh, and they also launched Zentide!

☘️ Healthy soil, please

Chemical fertilizers make farming more productive, but they come with a cost.

Overuse of chemical fertilizers can lead to loss of soil organic carbon, which affects the soil’s ability to sequester carbon.

  • The use of biostimulants and biofertilizers can help maintain soil health, making it a great product for promoting regenerative agriculture.
  • Better soil health means farmers can increase soil organic matter and rely less on synthetic fertilizers.

🌊 Why seaweed?

Seaweed absorbs excess carbon dioxide, making it a more eco-friendly option to farm. Plus, seaweed cultivation doesn’t require fertilizers or freshwater!

✍️ What’s with the $$$?

They’ll use the $$$ to level up product development, scale operations across Indonesia, and form strategic partnerships!

  • Heads up. They’re looking to collaborate with organizations that share their vision of sustainable agriculture and environmental responsibility.
