$5M for bythen to open up the virtual influencer space

Have a Byte. Here’s bythen, a platform that lets you create unique, ownable digital characters called Bytes so you can produce content, attract followers, and monetize your influence.   

  • Now, they just raised a $5M seed!

Investor check. Japan’s Vector Inc. and Skystar Capital led the round, while East Ventures, BEENEXT, OSK, AppWorks and angel investors William Tanuwijaya (co-founder of Tokopedia) and Ryan Lee (co-founder of The Pinkfong Company) joined in!

Founded in 2024, bythen is ideal for people who want to start their virtual influencing journey.

  • Customize your digital twin. Their Bytes have a fully customizable persona. Plus, it can operate across social media platforms, websites, apps, and VR — so you can extend your reach anywhere. 
  • Create content fast. Create high-quality videos and images using their generative AI tool.
  • Stream online. Bythen’s livestreaming feature allows you to easily bring your Byte to life in video calls and livestreaming platforms. 

Sharing is caring. The platform operates on a revenue-sharing model so creators can benefit from their digital work.

💰 What’s with the $$$? 

They’ll use the funding to support their global launch. 

  • Bythen is looking to onboard 15K virtual influencers from diverse sectors, including Web3 and gaming. 

Future plans. They also plan to launch original IP collections and collaborate with international IP owners.
