$7.8M for KAMEREO to bring ingredients to more businesses in Vietnam

December 10, 2024

Feeling hungry? Vietnam-based KAMEREO is a B2B food e-commerce platform that sells wholesale kitchen goods and ingredients to businesses.

And they just raised a $7.8M Series B!

Investor check. Sumitomo Corporation, Inspire, SMBC Venture Capital, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Reazon Holdings, INC, and other individual investors joined in.

🍅 Right to your door

KAMEREO has a last-mile delivery service network, three temperature-zone warehouses, and a client base of over 3K customers.

  • Not just restaurants. They also serve supermarkets, convenience stores, factories, schools, hospitals, and more!

Partnered up. They have a business partnership with GYOMU JAPAN, the operator of the Gyomu Super grocery business in Vietnam.

  • Around 450 Gyomu Super products are now available for purchase on the platform!

🍳 What’s cooking

They’ll use the $$$ to expand operations in multiple cities across Vietnam, starting with Hanoi. They’re also branching out to marketplace operations and direct imports.

  • Oh, and they’re also planning to establish logistics and sales operations in more cities.
  • Finally, KAMEREO is cooking up their own private label and will use a portion of the fund to strengthen their development.
