Are you safe? Ask Singapore-based watchTowr! Launched last year, this cybersecurity startup just raised an $8M Pre-Series A to help you not get hacked.

Investor check. Prosus Ventures and Vulcan Capital co-led the round. Wavemaker Partners also joined in.

  • Their last round was a $2.25M seed announced in February this year.

🌏 Hacks around the world, big and small

Why it matters. Just seeing how extreme these hacks could be should leave you shaking. Added to that, hackers are now so good that it can take hours to take advantage of new tech vulnerabilities. And they're only getting better.

🤼♀️ watchTowr vs. hackers

They'll help you defend yourself from hackers in two ways:

View it from the enemy's perspective. By understanding and assessing your tech, they'll give you a complete and real-time view of your vulnerability and how you can get hacked.

  • They use data analysis and the latest tactics hackers might be using to find out where you're weak.

Hacking before the hackers. Your tech is always changing, so you can't just do a vulnerability test once in a while. Bugs can suddenly pop up, and hackers are persistent. You don't want to find the bug too late!

  • So, they continuously try to hack you with their Continuous Assurance Technology (CAST). This way, they'll find the vulnerabilities before any real hackers can.

✈️ Expansion, expansion, expansion!

The new cash is to explore markets beyond Southeast Asia and double down on their tech.
