Here’s Arkadiah Technology! They’re a startup that revives degraded land through their end-to-end nature tech solutions. Now, they just raised seed funding.

  • Founded in 2023, they are currently supporting pilots with over 15 projects in SEA and Australia on pre-feasibility/feasibility studies and carbon stock digital measurements.

Investor check. Golden Gate Ventures led the round, while The Radical Fund and Money Forward Venture Partners joined in!

  • They’re keeping the amount raised hush-hush.

🌳 For context

According to the World Resources Institute, degraded land is “land that has lost some degree of its natural productivity because of human-caused processes.”

  • Nature restoration projects usually have long timelines because data collection and analysis are all done manually

Where Arkadiah comes in. Their proprietary platform uses AI, LiDAR, satellite imagery, and ground truthing to provide transparent and verifiable data on project landscapes.

  • By digitizing the data collection process, their tech helps project developers deploy nature-based solutions (reforestation, agroforestry, and more) faster.
  • This transparency also helps secure investor and buyer confidence!

🪷 Some more detail

Apart from that, Arkadiah also co-designs and implements nature restoration projects.

The SEA situation. The region has a wealth of biodiversity and accounts for almost 15% of the world’s tropical forests. Yes, including at least four of 25 biodiversity hotspots in the world!

🦍 What’s with the $$$?

Arkadiah will improve their AI models and expand their offerings.

  • With this, they’ll also be able to scale their solutions with project developers, natural climate investors, land owners, and corporations.
