Distribute better with Baskit! This Indonesia-based startup empowers distributors with tools and services to improve their business. And they just raised $3.3M in seed funding

  • Launched in 2022, they currently work with 50 wholesalers, mostly in West Java.

Investor check. Betatron Venture Group, Forge Ventures, Investible, 1982 Ventures, DS/X Ventures, Orvel Ventures, and Michael Sampoerna funded the round.

🪞 In the middle

Middlemen aren’t the big fishes in the local supply chain industry, but they are crucial in bridging large distributors to smaller wholesalers and retailers.

For Baskit, enabling SMEs helps connect buyers and sellers better—especially considering Indonesia’s geographical makeup.

  • Their software lets you organize your inventory so you can check for missing goods or spoiling items.
  • Easily connect your offline customers to your digital inventory—they can buy your goods from a catalog!

💰 Some more detail

It’s not easy to get financed as an SME. Baskit offers working capital to clients by working with P2P lenders and banks.

  • Oh, and they also offer customer service to wholesalers. Get better products at fair prices!

📈 What’s with the $$$?

They’re going to improve their tech and grow their data capabilities.

  • Oh, and they’re also going to expand in cities beyond West Java.
