PE partnering up! Capital Square Partners (CSP) and Basil Technology Partners (BTP) are joining together in a new partnership!

• These two Singapore-based private equity firms (aka, the new team) just announced the close of a $700M tech fund called CSP Fund II.

🤨 Who are they, anyway?

CSP was founded in 2014 and invests across SEA and India. They invest in companies that already segment leaders in their markets — or that could be marker leaders with a bit more $$$ and operational pow-wow.

• They've invested over $500M in tech and business services!
• Their portfolio includes Startek, Movate and Minacs.

BTP was founded in 2008. Their focus? Niche tech that is disrupting the IT space. They end up as active operating partners in each portfolio company, driving strategy, organic and inorganic growth and exits.

• They've invested over $200M, focusing on growth-stage tech companies.
• Their portfolio of 14 includes GAVS, SDG and Accion Labs, as well as six exits.

CSP Fund II got its $$$ from investors like HarbourVest Partners, TPG NewQuest, Committed Advisors, and more.

• It's one of the largest funds dedicated to technology services (and sectors like AI, SaaS and data analytics) in Asia.

CSP Fund II will acquire a portfolio of companies from CSP's and BTP's current funds under management, make follow-on investments and invest in new companies.
