Food for your Grouu-ing kids!

September 14, 2022
Grouu

Parents, assemble! It's time to meet Grouu, an Indonesian kids' food startup. Their meals sound so good, even you and I would want to eat them. (Beef gyudon baby food, anyone? How about some baby bolognese?) Now, they've just raised a new round to dish out even more!

Investor check. Teja Ventures led the round. Arkana Ventures and Javas Capital also joined in.

🔙 The backstory

Founded in 2020, Grouu started out as a baby food catering startup. Yup, you'd subscribe and get the baby food delivered straight to your home every day!

  • Choose from different menu items and specify the texture of the food according to your baby's needs.
  • They served over 200,000 portions of baby food in 2020 alone!

🏃🏻‍♂️💨 Fast forward

Now, they've expanded more than just their products! They've started offering meals for kids 1–10 years old and have grown a ton more too. But here's what else they've added on:

  • Last month, they received over 1,000 orders a day.

Don't want commitment? Instead of subscribing, order an a la carte meal set.

In a rush? Buy one of their ready-to-eat meals for your kids! Oh, and don't worry — they've even got instant delivery so you'll receive it fast.

An even bigger menu. We can't name all of the yummy food they've added (including partnerships with momfluencers and MSG-free meals)

💰 What's with the $$$?

They'll be launching even more products, opening a production facility in Surabaya, Indonesia and start selling their meals through offline retail chains.
