This is no laughing matter. Hepmil Media Group, a media network focused on millennials and Gen Z, has just raised a $10M Series A. The round was led by Quest Ventures, Pavilion Capital and Bent Pixels.
⏪ Back to the start
In 2012, Hepmil began with the launch of its SGAG Facebook page in Singapore. After going viral for their funny and relatable memes (like this) with local slang and cultural references, they launched in Malaysia (MGAG) and the Philippines (PGAG).
🤪 Beyond the memes
Big brands want in. SGAG, MGAG and PGAG function as content agencies for their target countries. Funny, engaging and hyper-localized, they've captured the hearts (and laughs) of millions.
💰 What's the biz?
Page promotions. Did McDonald's suddenly learn to be funny on their livestream? Hepmil made that happen.
In-house talents. Work with their team of in-house creators that work across all categories, from fashion and beauty to fitness and pets.
Hepmil Creators Network. As part of its push to "decentralized media" Hepmil partners with SEA's top content creators from Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube to connect them with brands.
E-Sports and gaming. With SEA's e-sports scene growing, Hepmil wants to help SEA's pro gamers earn more $$$ by connecting them with big brands hungry to advertise in the space.
✈️ New territories
By next year, Hepmil will be expanding to Vietnam and Thailand. It'll also be doubling down on its expansion to e-sports and gaming.
