Here’s HD! This Thai healthtech startup makes it easy for patients to find affordable care and surgeries.

  • How? They connect patients to hospitals, clinics, operating rooms, and surgeons while offering financing solutions.

Now, they just closed their Series  A-1 extension round!

Investor check. US-based healthcare firm Merck Sharp & Dohme funded the round, joining investors like SBI Ven Capital M Venture Partners, FEBE Ventures, Partech Partners, Ratio Ventures, Orvel Ventures, and TA Ventures as investors.

  • This brings HD’s total Series A funding to $7.8M!
  • They raised a $5.6M Series A last April.

📱 The AI effect

Since their last Series A round, HD has successfully developed and deployed its Jib AI platform. It is an autonomous AI agent that is trained on proprietary, anonymized healthcare product, transaction, and chat commerce data sets using advanced LLMs.

  • Jib AI handles initial triaging and care navigation, helping healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, and surgeons) focus more on patient care.
  • So far, over 60 percent of HD’s chat commerce is managed by autonomous AI agents.

Not just AI. HD also operates HDmall, an outpatient healthcare marketplace operating in Thailand and Indonesia and HDcare, an elective surgery platform that works with healthcare providers to book free operating rooms in hospitals and clinics.

🗓️ 2025 goals

HD wants to support over 5K healthcare providers and reach 600K patients through its HDmall and Jib AI.

  • Oh, and HD also wants to expand Jib AI’s agent capabilities to include order and refund processing, assisted checkouts, scheduling, electronic health record querying and review, and medical information retrieval through the Jib AI Health Assistant, an AI-enabled asynchronous virtual care with expert physicians.
