Humble Sustainability raises additional funding led by Gobi

May 24, 2024

Got old IT equipment? Humble Sustainability is here for you. This Philippine-based climatetech startup helps businesses sell their old IT equipment instead of throwing it away.

  • They’ve diverted over 250k kilograms of e-waste from landfills (think 116,279 laptops)!
  • They have a network of over 75 B2B clients, like Canva, Manulife, and Sunlife.

Oh, and they’ve just raised new funding!

Investor check. Gobi Partners’ Gobi-Core Philippine Fund led the round. The Philippine government agency National Development Company (NDC)’s Startup Venture Fund, Double River Impact, Equitrust Holdings, several corporations, and several angels, including some from XA Network joined in!

💻 One person’s trash is another’s treasure

They’re here to reduce electronic waste. And it’s good for companies, and good for the planet.

This isn’t for secondhand clothes. They’re focused on digital devices like phones, laptops, and appliances that range from brand new and sealed to items that are in good condition without a box.

For companies. They can support their own CSR goals by creating ESG funds for donation or financing.

  • By reusing old IT equipment,  this also helps companies reach their ESG goals.

🚀 What’s next?

They’ll use the new funding to expand operations and scale.
