👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?
I build technology that makes it easier for businesses to procure supplies, equipment, and services for their business.
🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?
Shoppable is the 8th business I've built, I've failed many times and have exited twice.
🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
Putting together an amazing team to build Shoppable Business that enabled us to raise an oversubscribed pre-seed round in early 2023.
🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?
Using AI to optimize business processes in meaningful and practical ways that benefits all stakeholders. Why? Because if used right, with AI you can build a startup much faster with less overhead costs.
💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?
Whatever you are building, make sure you have the right leadership team in place because it's not easy building a startup and having the right team makes a world of a difference.
🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?
I can talk about building businesses for hours whether it be about solving a problem or just bouncing ideas around with like minded people.
🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show?
I don't have one favorite tv show or movie, but I like action movies, comedies and Japanese anime. Ones that come to mind recently are The Avengers, Silicon Valley, and Kaiju no 8.
🍨 What's your go-to ice cream flavor?
My first job was at Baskin Robbins when I was 15 years old and my go to flavors out of the 31 are black walnut and rainbow sherbert. Whenever my friends visited, I gave them extra big scoops!
