Jason Low is the founder of Virtualtech Frontier. They create virtual experiences and metaverses for companies and brands.

They're also building an Integrated Virtual World Platform (IVWP) called Mitoworld.io that simplifies the creation and connection of purpose-driven metaverses.

👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

I enable people to build their dream virtual world to create purposeful, driven engagements.

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

I wanted to be a teacher or be involved in academia initially. However, it looks like fate has other plans for the time being. With similar interests still in mind, I put effort into connecting with academic institutions to push for the growth of great talents and industrial know-how to create virtual worlds of the future.

🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

One of the main highlights for me would be the launch of my metaverse book "Metaverse: Now & Future, A Universe in the Palm of your Hands."

I chose being an author as the main highlight of my career because through the process of writing this book, I was able to document the journey of my team & the company.

From all of the opportunities and challenges that we have gone through, the great sense of fulfillment from being able to describe our efforts and educate people about the metaverse is a great one. Although not the flashiest of highlights, it is definitely one of the most meaningful ones to date.

🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?‍

I am very excited about the next developments in immersive technology or what XR could offer.

Many of us are hoping for an amazing "Ready Player One" future, which could only be achievable with mass adoption and growth of the technology that will enable us to get full second lives beyond the physical realm.

💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?

Stay curious and persevere in your discovery. There is just so much that you can learn and acquire in terms of knowledge from the people around you.

Having the drive to answer most of the "What If's" in life will be a driving force to carry you forward. Lastly, be greatly involved in the community of your industry. See each other as fellow collaborators to achieve the future together rather than as competitors. This mindset will bring great benefits that will go a long way.

🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?

I tend to have multiple interests across the years and predominantly, the topic of choice would be based on what is the latest book I'm reading haha! From cats, to music to entrepreneurship, I do enjoy conversations of various magnitudes.

🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show?

Real Life Movie: Christopher Nolan's Inception! Almost a full score on my end.

For Anime Movie: Kimi No Na Wa! Mega creative with how they intertwined time and fate.

For TV shows and anime there are just too many amazing ones to put a favorite.

🍨 What's your go-to ice cream flavor?‍

Anything pistachio flavored! Though most of the time, this can only be found in Italian gelato shops.
