Pete Chareonwongsak is the CEO of Teleport, a Southeast Asian air logistics network.

According to the company, they’re on track to generate over $250M in revenues and $20M in operating profits this year.

👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

I lead the team at Teleport, where we help businesses reliably deliver things from the factory door to your door in one day while doing it cheaper than anyone else.

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

It’s surprisingly unglamorous—in logistics, you are only as good as the last time you did something.

So the goal is to be boringly reliable as a service but cool as a brand.

🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Inducting our first freighter plane last year was surreal. All big things start with the first one.

We also launched it at night with flashing lights and a sick intro video—His Majesty (the King) also came to grace our event!

At that event, we also got to announce ourselves as Southeast Asia’s #1 and turned a lot of skeptics (even some of our own team!) into believers of what Teleport has done, can do, and will deliver.

🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?‍

Generative AI. It’s both too transformative to ignore and too hyped to blindly follow.

💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry? 

Figure out how to make things simpler, easier, and faster—the logistics industry is notorious for being mind-numbingly complex but if you think about it the job is simple: get it from A to B well! 

We need people that can fix stuff and remove blockers, not add more layers or steps.

🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours? 

I am obsessed with the fact that we will be able to unlock Southeast Asia’s potential and its 20M+ ready SMEs by enabling affordable cross-border logistics.
