👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?
My job is to build stuff instead of having a job. I want to be able to build different brands and companies.
To explain to people outside of my industry, what I do is basically make really high-quality products using surplus ingredients, essentially make high-quality products while reducing our carbon emissions.
🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?
Running companies is a journey and especially your very first start up where you have to really build a lot with your own resources, your own base.
I really only felt like I understood the nuances of what it takes to be a CEO about a year ago, even though I've been running this for about four years plus right now and I'm still learning till today.
It hit me when I could start making really difficult decisions easier than before.
🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
I would say the biggest highlight is going to ACRA (Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority) and spending 300 over dollars to set up the company. That was my very first step that I did and it was super impulsive, but I did not go back on that 300 plus dollars I spent and continued to build that till today.
🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?
F&B, Foodtech, Agritech, maybe in the Blockchain and Fintech space
🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?
Politics or Sports
🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show?
Movie: The Godfather Part 2.
TV show: I don't want you to think I'm a gangster but my favorite one is Peaky Blinders.
🍨 What's your go-to ice cream flavor?
I lean more towards savory than sweet tooth. I'd go for local flavors like cendol.
