Victoria is the Co-founder and CEO of BeautyBuddy, a SaaS and social-powered marketplace that digitalizes beauty/wellness services discovery and management.

In just seven months of launching its Beta, BeautyBuddy already has a free-to-paid subscription conversion rate of 77% and has processed >12,000 bookings and acquired online bookings at an ave. of 61% MoM.

👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

I help your favorite salon, barber, clinic, and home-service masseuse digitalize their operations so that they can finally use data-driven decisions to grow their businesses. As a bonus, you'll benefit from being able to discover and instantly book them digitally as well! 

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

This industry never sleeps! The majority of our bookings actually come in between midnight and 6AM. Good thing I'm a night owl!

🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

When we finally cracked what feature would make our customers say YES to us, instantly. It turned out to be the simplest one — and our secret sauce. 

🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?‍

Shoppable UGC. Word of mouth is the strongest form of discovery, so it's only natural that we build more avenues to instantly check out in real time. 

💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry? 

Especially for those without a technical co-founder - don't overspend/overbuild your tech product! There are so many tech solutions now that you can piece together while testing and finding product market fit. Don't waste time and money on something you might end up throwing out.

Start-up ideas! Gets the creative juices for how else we can supercharge BeautyBuddy, too.

Survivor. I've watched all 43 seasons and still don't think I could do it myself.
