👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?
I strive to refresh insurance to be meaningful and relevant.
🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?
I actually prefer to live my life in a manner of structure. However, running a startup is anything but structured! I've since grown to embrace this irony over time.
🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
I used to be resistant to change, but the highlight is, these days, I am seeking every opportunity to change for the better, to surprise and to intentionally disrupt myself.
I no longer identify merely as an insurance subject matter expert, as my plan is to build domain knowledge in non-insurance areas too.
🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?
Health-related startups focused on gut microbiome, hormones and sleep.
I have always found the human biology really fascinating and how us humans can enhance our physical, mental, and emotional potential through a little bit of scientific knowledge and daily consistency.
💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?
If "industry" means tech entrepreneurship, you'd need to remind yourself of why you chose this path. It can get really overwhelming, really fast.
🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?
Health!
🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show?
Inside Out by Pixar
🍨 What's your go-to ice cream flavor?
Pralines and Cream
