Indonesia's Chickin raises $20M

Bok bok! Here comes Chickin. This Indonesian startup is all about the small-scale poultry industry. It’s reported that they raised a $20M Series A+ round.

The details. Investors include Granite Asia, Integra Partners, Asian Development Bank, 500 SEA, East Ventures, Aksara Ventures, and several others.

  • It was reportedly $15M in equity and $5M in debt.
  • They last raised a seed in 2022.

They have a variety of solutions across the poultry value chain!

Contract farming and Offtaking. They offer financing for farm inputs like feed, chicks, and vet supplies and offtake (aka, an arrangement to buy or sell portions of the farmer’s future produce) it as repayment.

IoT farming solutions. They offer an integrated suite of cameras powered by computer vision and sensors that monitor and optimize farm operations remotely.
