February 8, 2023
Ooca

Here's Thailand's Ooca! This Thai mental health startup just raised a Series A. While the numbers are hush-hush, here's what you should know.

  • Founded in 2017, they've onboarded over 180,000 users.

Investor check. Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), Thailand's largest private healthcare group.

🏥 How it works

Book a consultation with a psychologist or psychiatrist on their app — all sessions are online, so you can join anytime, anywhere!

The process. Select three topics you need help with, pick from a list of suggested psychologists/psychiatrists, choose a time, and wait for them to give you a call.

Just the same. Like in-person visits, they look at your history and symptoms, perform an exam and may recommend you some treatment.

💰 What's with the $$$?

They'll start working with BDMS to create and write initiatives that make mental health care more accessible.

  • The partnership aims to transform Ooca into Thailand's largest provider of online and offline mental health services.
