Out with the old. And in with the new sustainable practices. They work with farmers to implement new methods like alternate wetting and drying (AWD) and direct seeding rice (DSR).

• These save water while reducing methane emissions—without reducing the harvest yield.
• AWD alternates between floodin and drying the field (instead of keeping them constantly flooded) and DSR directly sows rice fields into the field (instead of needing to transplant seedings)

Data, data, data. Their platform also captures key agricultural information to implement sustainable farming, like farm performance and crop yields.

• This allows farmers to adapt to climate change, more easily access financing, increase crop yield, and lower expenses and water consumption.

With the $$$, they’ll level up their tech stack, including their measuring, reporting and verification (MRV) technology.

• They’ll also grow their team of agronomy experts to 100+.

They also plan to boost their presence in Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as expand to other rice-producing countries in South and Southeast Asia.
