Summoning more than just play-to-earn power

February 15, 2022
Summoners Arena

More than just a game. Here's Vietnam's Summoners Arena! This play-to-earn game just won a $3M seed, led by Pantera Capital.

  • It's a fantasy RPG game established by gaming firms OneSoft, Zitga and Sonat.
  • It has two versions, a free-to-play (traditional game) and a play-own-earn (NFT) version.

Who cashed in? Coinbase Ventures, Onechain Technology, GuildFi, Merit Circle, Cosmic Guild, Coin98 Ventures, Istari Ventures, Spartan Group, Impossible Finance, Kyber Ventures, Kyros Ventures also joined in.

  • 👼🏻: A-list angels include Chang-Han Kim, CEO of Krafton (aka, the PUBG developer) and Mirza Uddin of Injective Labs.

🚀  Beyond play-to-earn

Summoners Arena believes that "earn" means different things to different people— not just income. Because of this, its game isn't just play-to-earn. It's play-own-earn.

  • Earn $SAE, governance rights that can be converted into financial gain.
  • Earn unique NFTs that are tradable on the marketplace.
  • Earn $ASG, incentives for participating in in-game activities.

❌  Don't do it for the money

Instead of attracting gamers who simply want to earn income, Summoners Arena wants to build a loyal community that mainly stays for the quality of the game— the game's intrinsic value. The ability to earn comes second!

  • Its game has amazing graphics, rich lore and fun game mechanics.

💰 What's with the $$$?

It will accelerate the growth of the Summonia universe, grow the team and develop new features and tools for the game.

  • It will also be launching the free-to-play version of the game next.
