Xurya Indonesia raises $55M for businesses to access solar power without the upfront cost

July 5, 2024

Xurya is here for sunny days! This Indonesian startup makes it easy and accessible for businesses to access solar rental—without the initial upfront costs.

  • Founded in 2018, they’ve built more than 170 solar projects across the country
  • Their systems have contributed to avoiding 152,000 tons of CO2 per year and creating over 1,600 green jobs.

Investor check. The Norwegian Climate Investment Fund managed by Norfund led the round. Swedfund, Clime Capital as the manager of SEACEF II, British International Investment (BII), and AC Ventures also joined in.

☀️ Hey there, sunshine

We all know solar power can help you save money while doing good for the environment. The problem? You’ll need to spend a ton to start buying or renting your solar panels.

And Xurya’s here to change that with their affordable and flexible payment plans to let anyone shift to solar power:

  • Xurya Rental: Pay a fixed monthly fee for 5-10 years.
  • Xurya Lease: Performance-based monthly fee for 15-25 years.
  • Xurya Flexi: Choose to pay a certain amount upfront and pay the rest in monthly fees for less than 15 years.

💭 What else they do?

Apart from financing, they’re also the ones helping you design, install, operate, and maintain your rooftop solar panels.

😎 What’s next?

They’ll expand their business, with the goal to eliminate 370,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
